A clubhouse within an active adult community strengthens the neighborhood bonds and builds connections between homeowners. Located in a rural area of Pennsylvania, it was important to the architect to compliment the surrounding architecture of the area. The barn was the perfect archetype for the clubhouse building. Simple lines and proportions were promoted to maintain a low profile and human scale.
